This is the reason why when folks were running around upset at Microsoft and SquareEnix for the timed exclusive of the lastest Tomb Raider I and others on this site made sure to point out how Street Fighter V was in the same boat. You had way too many people defending this exclusive transaction, and poo-pooing Microsoft for Tomb Raider. A game that has done extremely well and has not suffered the affects of time exclusivity. Tomb Raider reboot is easily one of the best games of this generatio...
My site and editors do not do reviews. We stopped the process about four years ago. The main reason is that reviews today are used as a social currency for agenda propagation to influence sales, and control over what titles get covered. It also spawned the illicit activities of certain You tubers being paid to review games more favorably than they should have been.
In some cases review's have been used to exact revenge on a publisher. We see the use of Metacritic in a w...
Horrible write up... This guy is comparing original console launches to mid generation upgraded consoles. How do you use past launches for an entire segment of the industry that never even existed? The dynamics are entirely different. Let alone consumer enthusiasm. Add to the fact that the Playstation 4 Pro is the first mid-gen upgraded console and it drops in November. So how is Microsoft changing the rules of the game when both companies are on the same path?
There's not enough hype if you ask me. We've got more information about powerful upgrade consoles than we have since knowledge of the Nintendo's NX existed. Nintendo is living off of mystery not hype. I'm confident that we are going to get some quality games with NX, and for me that's what the hype is scaling on. The PS4 Pro has about three months in the limelight Horizon Zero Dawn is going to be a massive game I'm looking forward to. After that, Nintendo and NX is goi...
Anyone who thinks this is a pipe dream I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you right now. Make no mistake Microsoft delayed Crackdown 3 to be able to showcase cloud gaming on all three Xbox devices. I'm talking Xbox One/S, Xbox Scorpio & PC. If you don't see that coming from this far away paint yourself a moron and show up at E3 with a t-shirt that says "Cloud gaming on Xbox is fake". If you get laughed out the hall after the show off. Refer to this comment post. Clo...
This only makes sense if the PS4 Pro was substantial leap ahead of the PS4. It's not. In some respects it doesn't even offer features that an Xbox One S offers. So unless there is real compelling reason for people to buy a PS4 Pro, a PSVR headset. One of those devices is going to be a slow crawler. My guess is that the PS4 Pro is going to do decent, but nothing mind blowing in terms of sales.
Based on just one component of the Scorpio we know that Scorpio will be ahead of the PS4 Pro. The difference between the two based on Gflops alone is two PS4's. We don't know about the memory, or CPU. So in that regard the jury is still out on how MS plans to keep costs down, and offer up the Scorpio upgrade. Another thing too is that MS has stated that their goal is to offer a more powerful upgrade. Having it equal or be on par with the PS4 Pro just doesn't make sense for MS inte...
The sad part about this article is the fact that MS plan is to offer the ability for existing VR devices outside of the PSVR to be used on Scorpio. With content releasing daily VR is defining itself without MS having to lift a finger. At the same time giving gamers choice on what they want to use. Better options at the end of the day. Besides, after Pokemon Go, AR with Hololens I would say is next big thing that MS will want to back. The Xbox brand just needs to facilitate VR's growth not...
Hololens is one of the most intriguing and hands down fun new tech devices I've used so far. We've got content coming. You guys over at VRfocus are doing a bang up job. Keep it up.
There's soooooooooo much more with Hololens. Really excited for Augmented Reality. For once the suits actually are ahead of the techies with this particular technology. Developers need to get advanced quick.
Unfortunately true. The problem though is that one side tends to stick their foot in their mouth, and forget they put themselves in position to look like hypocrites. While, conveniently saying the other side does it too...Those computer consoles tho.
Of all the VR devices HTC Vive is hands down the best. Not just personally trying it, but we've had several tech meet ups and have showcased VR devices, tried the PSVR and Vive offers a complete experience so far.
For the most part this is a well thought out write up. Several issues that the author absolutely fails to mention, let alone ask the question; is whether or not the PS4 Neo is more of a priority not versus the Xbox Scorpio, but Sony's own Playstation VR? From all accounts, VR seems to be more of what they care about. I'm pretty sure the lack of marketing comes from Sony understanding full well that consumers are going to have to choose a new high priced device from them. Why focus on...
This is the future of cloud tech in the sense that a multi-cloud solution offers various cloud assets under one infrastructure. So a company can get the benefits from many solutions. Titan Fall 2 is really good proving ground for developers. Not necessarily what Microsoft is trying to achieve with Crackdown 3, let alone in the same league, but definitely in the same ballpark playing little league for lack of a better analogy. I'm happy Respawn found a partner to continue their advancement...
Nvidia's Tegra technology is nothing to scoff at. Depending on their input, and after using devices like the Nvidia Shield. I don't think we are going to get something that is lackluster from Nintendo with the Tegra chip from Nvidia. Time will tell, but I'm curious nonetheless.
Dreamcast. It was a complete gaming experience, and it changed the way games were marketed. It signaled to me how a great publisher could be at it's highest height, and lowest low at the same time. Offering great games, but you know could only do so much because it's time was running out. It was the last stand for something mighty and creative that our medium would surely miss after it was gone. Playing Phantasy Star Online, online with other Dreamcast console owners was an experience...
